About This Recipe

The secret? A pinch of nutmeg adds that unmistakable old-fashioned donut taste. Enjoy them warm from the oven or pack them up for a sweet snack on the go!
Instructions
Preheat oven and prepare pan
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line with paper cups.
Make the batter
In a bowl, whisk together sugar, melted butter, nutmeg, milk, and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
Fill and bake
Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each about 2/3 full. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Prepare cinnamon-sugar coating
In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Melt the extra butter in a separate bowl.
Coat the muffins
While still warm, dip each muffin in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar until fully coated.
